On 14th January 2013, at North American International Auto Show[NAIAS] 2013, Toyota has premiered the Corolla Furia Concept with an international celebration in Detroit. The next generation level of Toyota Corolla has stylish expression in its exterior, making the compact sedan more sexier than ever. This form of Furia concept of Corolla will be a milestone for the creative design work in the new future vehicles of Toyota. As per the words said by group vice president and general manager of the Toyota Division, Bill Fay – “It blends a heightened emphasis on dramatic design and modern elements of high technology to generate curb appeal that will surprise a lot of people.”. The Furia Concept of Corolla ia a compact luxury sedan, which has 181.9 inches[4620 mm] long, 71 inches[1805 mm] wide and 56.1 inches[1425 mm] high. It is based on a design theme of Iconic Dynamism which attracts and target new generation i.e. youth segment by its bold, aggressive and athletic looks with aluminum based 19-inches alloy wheels with carbon fiber accents wheel wells, giving prominence to the long wheelbase of 106.3 inches[2700 mm]. In its design, Furia has given clean windsheild with inclined roofline, front fascia looks aggressive in design, grille with black background which gives prominence to the pair of carved front LED headlamps and a rear composite LED taillight. The Corolla Furia has used carbon fiber accents to beautify the rear valance, rocker panels and alloy wheel wells with the metal exhaust system frame all over with carbon fiber surround to make it more sportier in its looks.

The concept represents an exterior styling study by Toyota designers, and it builds on the brand’s product development priority to develop more dramatic, expressively designed vehicles. “The Corolla Furia Concept is an early indicator of where our compact car design may lead in the future,” said Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager of the Toyota Division. “It blends a heightened emphasis on dramatic design and modern elements of high technology to generate curb appeal that will surprise a lot of people.” The Furia is designed around a theme of “Iconic Dynamism,” which uses pure and simple surface elements to create a confident, decisive and recognizable appearance appealing to more youthful consumers. It features a more provocative, dynamic interpretation of a compact sedan that displays a more stable, athletic stance with 19-inch allow wheels pushed to the vehicle’s corners with short overhangs to help emphasize its long wheelbase. The Corolla Furia design includes a swept windshield, with a sloped roofline and pronounced fender flares, to help communicate a sense of motion even when the car is stationary. The aggressively styled front fascia, with a blacked-out grille treatment, helps highlight a pair of sculpted front LED headlamps that combine with the rear composite LED taillight assemblies to add a sense of advanced technology to the Furia’s impactful exterior.
