Michigan utility to supply charging station rebates and time-of-use charges

The Michigan Public Service Fee (MPSC) has approved electrical utility Shoppers Vitality to launch a charging infrastructure pilot program that features rebates and a time-of-use fee plan.

Shoppers Vitality’s PowerMIDrive program, a three-year, $10-million effort, features a Nighttime Savers Fee to encourage EV drivers to cost their automobiles between 7 pm and 6 am. Residential prospects who join the nighttime fee can even obtain a $500 rebate for every EV.

The corporate can even provide $5,000 rebates for chargers put in in public areas reminiscent of workplaces and multi-unit dwellings, and as much as $70,000 in rebates for the set up of DC Quick Chargers.
