For all those Mercedes-Benz C-Class fans in the UK, there is a good news. In an attempt to make the current C-Class even more exciting, Mercedes-Benz UK has announced a range of enhancements for the C-Class, which includes new option packages and a new model line. Mercedes-Benz’s performance division AMG has introduced the new C-Class AMG Sport Edition for the entire C-Class lineup, including the saloon, estate and coupe variants. The AMG Sport Edition will not be available as another option but will replace the AMG Sport and AMG Sport Plus model lines. Talking about the styling of the AMG Sport Edition, it retains a number of features from the outgoing AMG Sport model such as 15 mm lower sports suspension, AMG body styling, alloy wheels, and steering wheel. While retaining the aforementioned features, the AMG Sport Edition gains an AMG boot lid spoiler for the Saloon and Coupé variants, dark-tinted headlamps and a high gloss black grille. Moving to the interior of the car the trim is pleasantly beautiful, thanks to features like AMG Sport Plus seats covered in black Artico and Dinamica with blue/grey contrast stitching, split folding rear seats for the Saloon. The new additions for the cabin include gear shifter with grey contrast stitching, dark brushed aluminium trim, and grey stitched Dinamica-covered door panel trim. Mercedes-Benz also thinks the new AMG Sport Edition is more value for money, as it comes with optional 18-inch seven-spoke AMG alloy wheels costing £300 including VAT. Compared to the AMG Sport Plus model which was priced at £3,000 over the Executive SE model line, the AMG Sport Edition represents a 50 percent saving with its £1,500 price tag.
