Lexus has finally unveiled the hotly anticipated Lexus NX crossover at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. The sharply styled compact crossover will be available in three versions: a hybrid version, a regular petrol and a turbocharged petrol. Of the three, the turbocharged petrol engine is an all new unit developed by Lexus and will debut on the Lexus NX 200t. Lexus will offer the NX in front wheel drive and all wheel drive versions. Additionally, the models will also equip Lexus’s quick-response stop and start system.The NX range will also come equipped with a host of innovative technologies and features. The long list of features includes a Lexus-first wireless charging tray for mobile phones, new Lexus Remote Touch Interface featuring a touchpad, new Panoramic View Monitor, blind spot monitor, head-up display and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The NX will be available in the following specifications: NX 200, NX 200t and NX 300h. Alongside, there will also be a NX 300h F Sport version that will sport various styling enhancements and some exclusive bodily additions including a restyled Lexus spindle grille, unique alloy wheels, bespoke interior trims, sport seats and a lowered front bumper. The NX 200 is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine mated with an electronically controlled S-CVT/Multidrive gearbox. The NX 200t is powered by a turbocharged version of the 2.0 liter petrol engine which puts out 235 hp and 350 Nm, and will come paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The NX 300h hybrid will use a combination of powertrains: a 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle engine, motor, generator and battery. The combined output of the system is 195 hp.
