Infiniti has announced the pricing for the all-new premium sports sedan – the 2014 Q50 and a hybrid 7-seater premium Crossover – the 2014 QX60, at the 113th anniversary of the New York International Auto Show 2013. The 2014 Q50 is a luxury Sedan, featuring the sporty design, enhanced interior, best performance and new technology in terms of driving dynamics for more comfortable and safe driving experience. The 2014 QX60 is Hybrid model, featuring the all best capabilities of 7-seater premium crossover with a 24% improvement in fuel economy and an estimated price of just $3000 more as compared to the non-hybrid variant. 2014 Infiniti Q50 : The announced price for the new 2014 Infiniti Q50 with its introductory beginning Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price* (M.S.R.P.) for pre-orders of $36,450 in the United States, which is $900 lower than the base M.S.R.P of the 2013 Infiniti G37 Sedan. It is offered with a powertrain of a 3.7 Liter 24-valve V6 engine and a 3.5 Liter V6 with Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid®. The 2014 Q50 S model is offered with an output of 328 hp at 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 269 lb.-ft. at 5,200 rpm with rear-wheel drive. While the Hybrid System is incorporated with a 24 valve DOHC aluminum-alloy V6 Engine and small-size laminated Lithium-ion battery design with electric motor[one-motor/two-clutch motor control]. In this hybrid system, the V6 engine alone can generates 296 hp and 255 lb.-ft. of torque while enhanced 50 kilo-Watts electric motor can alone generates 67 hp and 199 lb.-ft. of torque, so the full system together generates a total horsepower of 354 to provide better acceleration with less fuel consumption. The Hybrid system has Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid™ system with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control. It features a 1-motor, 2-clutch parallel engine with a 7-speed automatic transmission and no torque converter. The Infiniti Q50 Hybrid can dash 0 to 60 miles/hour in less than 6 seconds.
