The Wayne team was racing with No. 10 Velocity Worldwide Corvette DP at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Daytona Beach, Florida. The No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Corvette DP with racing team comprised of drivers (Richard Westbrook, Ricky Taylor, Oliver Gavin and Antonio Garcia), has grabbed the 5th position. The No. 99 GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing Corvette DP with racing team comprised of drivers (Jon Fogarty, Alex Gurney, Memo Gidley and Darren Law), has got the 7th position. The No. 5 Action Express Racing Corvette DP with racing team comprised of drivers (Christian Fittipaldi, Brain Frisselle, Nelson Piquet, Jr. and Felipe Nasr), has taken 8th place.
In the Grand Touring(GT) Class : The No. 57 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro GT.R team with racing team comprised of drivers (Robin Liddell, John Edwards, Jon Magnussen and Tommy Milner) has finished at 23rd in-class and 36th overall due to the mechanical issues. The No. 31 Marsh Racing Corvette GT with racing team comprised of drivers (Boris Said, Eric Curran, Brandon Davis and Lawson Aschenbach), has completed at 32nd in-class and 52nd overall due to the mechanical issues early in the race.

Their focused effort yielded a second-place finish for the No. 10 Velocity Worldwide Corvette Daytona Prototype (DP) and delivered the first-ever podium position for the Corvette DP at Daytona International Speedway. Starting 12th on the grid, Angelelli ran the first two and a half hours of the historic race to set the pace and the tone for the remainder of the longest endurance race for the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series.
