Audi TT Quattro Sport Concept With 420 PS At Geneva Motor Show

After plenty of sketches and unofficial renderings, Audi has finally unveiled the all new 2015 Audi TT and Audi TTS Coupe at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Alongside the two sports coupe, Audi also showcased a performance concept based on the all new TT. Dubbed the Audi TT Quattro Sport Concept, the car depicts how extreme the new TT can get. The most important thing about the TT Quattro Sport Concept is its engine which is a 2.0 liter, four cylinder TFSI petrol heart. It indeed is a regular sized engine but the power output is simply astonishing thanks to technologies like Audi valvelift system, dual camshaft adjustment, variable valve timing, and MPI plus FSI direct injection. The 2.0 liter heart puts out a mind boggling 420 PS at 6700 rpm, meaning 210 PS per liter which is more than what 2001’s Le Mans R18 produced. It also produces 450 Nm of peak torque delivered between 2400 rpm and 6300 rpm, with up to 300 Nm available at as low as 1900 rpm. The car is capable of sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Design wise, the TT Quattro Sport Concept features Matrix LED headlights, a Singleframe grille with quattro badging, carbon fibre reinforced polymer splitter, a Crystal White paint scheme, flared wheel arches, 20 inch alloy wheels with semi slick tires, sill extensions, rear diffuser, dual circular tailpipes, large air intakes at front and a large fixed wing for increased downforce. Moving on to the interior, the cabin has been stripped to the bare essentials. Armrests and speakers have been stripped from the door panel, and instead of handles, Alcantara has been used. Other highlights include racing bucket seats with 4-point seat belts and white stripes, luggage compartment with space for two helmets, a compact flat-bottom steering wheel featuring a red start/stop button, Audi virtual cockpit, a digital instrument cluster featuring a 12.3 inch display, and more.
