Audi is working on its future auto mobility not only in terms of powerful drivetrain but greener drivetrain also, by creating the advanced technology in the segment of plug-in Hybrid Automobile. To justify it, Audi is all set to present its plug-in hybrid technology in the form of Audi A3 e-tron at the 83rd auto exhibit of Geneva Motor Show starting from March, 5th 2013. As a full Hybrid system, the 5-door Audi A3 e-tron powertrain system is capable of generating an output of 204 horsepower[150 kilo-watts] and best torque of 350 Nm[258.15 pound feet]. This power-packed Hybrid system, is definitely going to give best figures in terms of both sporty performance and best efficiency. Like a true Audi, A3 e-tron can dash 0 to 100 km/hour[0-62.14 miles/hour] in just 7.6 seconds to reach a maximum speed of 222 km/hour[137.94 miles/hour]. While, in the efficiency figures as per ECE standard for plug-in hybrid automobiles, the A3 e-tron has an average consumption of 66.66 km/liter[1.5 liters for 100 km or 156.81 US mpg] and low CO2 emissions of 35 grams/km[56.33 grams/mile]. In the Audi A3 e-tron system, the electric mode, can deliver a top-speed of 130 km/hour[80.79 miles/hour] with a maximum range of 50 kilometers[31.07 miles]. The combustion engine in the hybrid system, has a 1.4 Litre TFSI Engine which can alone generate an output of 150 horsepower[110 kilo-Watts], coordinating the clutch to a disc-shaped electric motor which has an output of 75 kilo-Watts. The power is transmitted via 6-speed e-Stronic is integrated to the electric motor where top torque of 2000 rpm is produced from electric motor while the TFSI engine peak torque delivered between 1,750 to 4,000 rpm.
