All New Peugeot 108 Revealed Ahead Of Geneva Motor Show

While we were expecting to get the first glimpse of all new Peugeot 108 hatchback not before the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, it was surprising to see Peugeot revealing the first pictures and details well ahead of the official debut. Yes you read it right, Peugeot has revealed the all new 2015 Peugeot 108 but only in pictures. The official debut is yet to take place at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. Talking about the proportions of the 108, it is 3.47m in length and 1.6m in width and will be available in both three- and five-door configurations, along with an interesting convertible version. While the standard forms feature a metal roof, the convertible model uses a fabric roof which will come at an appreciable premium. First impression, the 2015 108 is way better looking than its predecessor. It is more polished and well built than the older model and the appeal is more upmarket. At far as the exterior is concerned the car gets a Peugeot 308-like headlamps and a familiar "lion’s claw mark" tail light housing. When Peugeot launches this car, it will available in Access, Active and Allure trim levels, all offered in plenty of personalization options to suit customers’ needs. The car will be offered with four ultra efficient 3-cylinder engines which are as follows: 1.0-litre e-VTi producing 68 bhp and emitting 88g/km CO2 1.0-litre VTi producing  68bhp and emitting 95g/km CO2 1.0-litre VTi producing 68 bhp and emitting 97g/km CO2, 1.2-litre PureTech VTi producing 82 bhp and emitting 99g/km CO2 All the engine are mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. As for the safety of the passengers, Peugeot will offer features like ABS, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Emergency Collision Braking System, Hill Start Assist and switchable ESP. The interior of the 108 is yet to be revealed at the car’s official unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show. But as per what Peugeot says, the 2015 108 will have a more upmarket cabin featuring keyless entry. push-button start. automatic air conditioning and a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen.
