Today, Chevrolet has announced two new Design Packages for the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette: the Pacific performance coupe and the Atlantic luxury convertible. Both the special Corvette models are slated to go on sale along with the rest of the Corvette lineup in the coming months. The Corvette Stingray Pacific coupe and Corvette Stingray Atlantic convertible concepts first debuted at the last year’s SEMA show. Amid the plethora of cool vehicles at the SEMA show, including the range of Camaros, both the Corvette models received a strong response from car enthusiasts and this influenced Chevrolet to introduce the production models sooner than expected. Two other vehicles from the SEMA show that have made it to the production line are Camaro Hot Wheels and Sonic Dusk editions. Starting with the Atlantic Convertible, the topless Corvette is inspired by the performance and luxury of private jets. The model is available in 2LT and 3LT trims and packs an array of features including custom luggage, Stingray underhood liner and floor mats, Chrome Torque wheels with Stingray center caps, custom splash guards, rear license plate frame, custom splash guard and logo valve stem caps, hark Gray exterior vents, hood “stinger” graphic and tonneau inserts, Shark Gray exterior paint, front Z06-style splitter and more. The Pacific Coupe is a track machine and is inspired by the West Coast drivers. Just like the Atlantic convertible, this one is also offered in 2LT and 3LT trims and features custom splash guards and rear license plate frame, , Stingray sill plates carbon fiber interior trim, Stingray floor mats, “CFZ” carbon fiber ground effects package, satin black full-length racing stripes, carbon fiber roof panel, Stingray center caps, satin black Z51 wheels with red stripe, red brake calipers, Sport Seats in red or black, Indoor car cover and more.
Transmission options will include a standard 7-speed manual transmission and an optional, all-new 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
