Volvo with upgraded 60 line-up, which is comprised of 2014 Volvo S60, V60 and XC60, will make their first appearance at the upcoming 83rd auto exhibit of Geneva International Motor Show 2013. New 2014 Volvo S60 : The new 2014 Volvo S60 saloon has new sporty and eloquent exterior design clearly expressed its road presence by prominent horizontal lines, the new headlamps, broad grille, daylight running lights and a new LED light guide on the tail lamps. While in the interior, revised upholstery colours with a new headliner, nicely matched colour themes with the backlit white controls in the dashboard, new wood lays and silk metal frames around the air vents and light controls. Under the hood, S60 is equipped with four options of Chassis types which includes Touring, Dynamic, Four-C[Continuously Controlled Chassis Concept] and Lower Sport Chassis. The 2014 S60 has 4-cylinder D2 diesel variant with 115 horsepower, which on manual gearbox delivers a best fuel economy of 25 km/liter[4.0 liters for 100 km] as per the EU combined cycle and CO2 emission of 106 grams/km (as per the preliminary figures). New 2014 Volvo XC60 : The best selling model of Volvo has now improved D5 and D4 variants, where D5 now generates 215 horsepower and D4 produces 163 horsepower with a manual gearbox and All-Wheel Drive system, both have combined fuel efficiency of 18.86 km/liter[5.3 liters for 100 km] and CO2 emission of 139 grams/km. While, the exterior has given an urban look with new hood shape, new headlamps and horizontal lines on the grille with broad looking chrome bars. New 2014 Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid : The new 2014 V60 Plug-in Hybrid which Volvo claims, the world’s first diesel hybrid. It includes many of the design and technology upgrades of the standard V60, while under the hood the hybrid system, comprised of 5-cylinder 2.4 Litre turbo diesel engine which is capable of generating an output of 215 horsepower and top torque of 440 Nm, where powered is transmitted to front-wheel via 6-speed automatic transmission. In the hybrid system, the rear axle gets the power using an electric motor from an 11.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which generates an output of 70 horsepower and a torque of 200 Nm.
