At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot showcased the newest iteration of 308 hatchback but did not disclose the pricing and specifications. Gladly, for all 308 fans, just recently, the French automaker has officially announced the prices and specifications. Following the 308’s prices announcement, Peugeot has started taking orders for the car as it readies itself for deliveries starting 4th of January, 2014. Before we jump to the trims and pricing of the car, let us know what Peugeot believes the 2014 308 offers. Peugeot says the new 308 sports a stylish design, offers an impressive driving experience, class-leading fuel economy and high standards, thanks to the use of high quality materials. Headed to UK, the 308 range has four trims, named: Access, Active, Allure and Feline, and each of the trims, in progression, offers more features than the previous one. The base Access model features a host of standard equipment including air conditioning, remote central door locking, cruise control with speed limiter, DAB digital radio, LED daylight running lights and Bluetooth connectivity. The next model, Active features the aforementioned features plus the following: dual zone air conditioning, electric handbrake, rear parking sensors, integrated 9.7” touch screen (easily the largest in the sector and more functional) and satellite navigation. The model Allure is expected to set the benchmark even higher with distinguishing features such as full LED headlamps, 17” alloy wheels, a reversing camera and front parking sensors. Last but not the least, the top of the line Feline model will pack impressive features like a panoramic Cielo glass roof, Alcantara trimmed sports seats and a Driver Assistance Pack comprising of assistance and safety devices including Dynamic Cruise Control, Emergency Collision Alert and Emergency Collision Braking System.
