Cadillac has unveiled its third generation, midsize luxury sedan – the 2014 CTS, in New York, with more evolved performance, enhanced luxury and refined technology. It has the right blend of sportiness and aerodynamics. The high-performance capabilities are offered by the Twin-Turbo V6 Engine and Cadillac’s first 8-speed automatic transmission, with the enhanced driving dynamics boosted by the advanced technology, for more comfortable ride and safety. The production of the 2014 Cadillac CTS will start from this fall,2013, in Lansing, Mich. Power and Performance : The Twin-Turbocharged Engine for the first time is powering the Cadillac’s 2014 CTS sedan. The twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder engine, a result of innovative engineering, can deliver an output of 420 horsepower[313 kilowatt] with a peak torque of 420 lb.-ft.[583 Nm]. The power on demand in the new CTS is always available with the assist of a pair of small turbochargers, by which almost 90% of max torque is available between 2,500 rpm and 5,500 rpm. This advanced level of engineering boosts the engine capability to deliver wide range of torque for all conditions. The new CTS can dash 0 to 60 miles/hour in an estimated 4.6 seconds. The 2014 CTS has more options in terms of engine configuration, there is a naturally aspirated 3.6 Litre V6 Engine which is capable of delivering an estimated output of 321 horsepower is mated with the new paddle-shift 8-speed automatic transmission in Rear-Wheel-Drive variants. Also in the engine configuration of 2014 CTS is a 2.0 Litre turbocharged Engine mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission and the All-Wheel Drive, is capable of producing an estimated output of 272 horsepower. The CTS sedan’s low mass and optimal brake sizes are expected to give it braking performance that is among the best in the segment, with standard Brembo brakes. The comparatively low curb weight helps make the most of the driving experience by allowing the use of lighter-weight chassis components, which reduces unsprung weight to enable more precise handling without compromising ride quality. Best Driving Dynamics : The features that makes the 2014 Cadillac CTS best in terms of driving comfort and connected drive, includes the best suspension system – 5-link independent rear suspension and Multi-link MacPherson strut suspension with a double-pivot design, the feature of Magnetic Ride Control real-time damping system for more enhance comfortable ride, the premium electric, the more smoother steering system with the technology of variable-assist power steering gear from ZF Steering Systems, all-terrain drive enjoyment  with All-Wheel Drive System, a wide use of aluminum components in the suspension system, while the rear suspension is mostly steel. That helps offset the weight of the engine and transmission at the front of the vehicle, helping the CTS deliver the best weight balance and contributing to less noise and vibration and a option of 17-, 18- and 19-inch aluminum wheels.

More Evolved Exterior : Its a midsize luxury sedan which has designed optimally with the right blend of  luxury, sportiness and aerodynamics. The 2014 CTS has now grown by 5 inches in length and also in the wheelbase by 1.2 inch. And to give a more lower & leaner look in its broad presence, the roof-line and cowl with the base of the windshield, are about an inch lower. The new CTS shield grille is broader now, with a more detailed texture, while the headlamps flow up with the hood line, incorporating crystalline LED light guides for a technologically advanced appearance with more uniform illumination. Active grille shutters are included on some models, improving aerodynamic performance on the highway to enhance fuel efficiency. Best Interior & Safety technology : The 2014 CTS is now more spacious, with driver-centric cockpit interior with integrated technology and hand-crafted appointments complements the exterior elements and supports the CTS sedan’s driving experience. Eight available interior environments are offered, each trimmed with authentic wood, carbon fiber or aluminum. Leather seating is available, including available full semi-aniline leather, with hand-crafted, cut-and-sewn executions. The interior design cues and craftsmanship are complemented by various features of advanced technology like the CUE – which is a blend of new technology with highly intelligent design, bringing the intuitive control of smartphones and tablets safely to the road. With a clean, uncluttered design, Natural Voice Recognition and responsive touch-screen technology. An 8-inch high-resolution color touch screen with haptic feedback allows users to swipe and drag preferences. Bluetooth connectivity with natural voice recognition is standard with CUE, along with USB and SD card ports. An available 12.3-inch high-resolution, configurable LCD instrument cluster display complements the CUE display and supports the active safety features. It offers drivers 4 layouts – from basic to performance-oriented – each delivering bold, crisp graphics tailored to the level of vehicle information desired. A full-color, configurable head-up display is also available. Cadillac’s first 20-way adjustable front seats, motorized cup holder lid in the center console, heated and cooled (ventilated) front seats and heated steering wheel, electronically locking glove box, electronic park brake, adaptive remote start feature that also activates the climate control system, standard Bose eleven-speaker sound system and available Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound system with 13 speakers, Automatic Parking Assist, Ultrasonic rear park assist, Ultrasonic sensors, radar and cameras, with Front and Rear Automatic Braking, assists the driver to prevent front and rear low-speed collisions, GM’s first application of automatic safety belt tightening is offered in the new CTS, a Driver Awareness Package which includes the Cadillac’s patented Safety Alert Seat technology.
