BMW has premiered its all-new advanced diesel sedan – the 2014 BMW 328d at the 113th anniversary of the New York International Auto Show 2013. The new 328d model is equipped with a powertrain of TwinPower 2.0 Litre 4-cylinder Engine which is quite capable of generating an output of 180 horsepower and a max torque of 280 pound feet available from 1,750 rpm. The TwinPower engine will be combined to an 8-speed automatic transmission and makes diesel-powered 328d to dash 0 to 60 miles/hour in just above 7 seconds. Its for the first time the 4-cylinder diesel BMW engine is introduced in the US market and best fitted to The Ultimate Driving MachineTM. The advanced diesel power with great levels of torque and fuel efficiency which includes BMW Selective Catalyst Reduction to provide true clean diesels feature in the new 328d models. The 2014 328d has an estimated best highway fuel efficiency of 45 miles/gallon[US], a city fuel consumption of 32 miles/gallon and a highway fuel mileage of 37 miles/gallon. The new BMW 328d Sedan will be offered in the Rear-Wheel Drive system with the All-Wheel Drive System of xDrive advanced class, to make it the 328d xDrive Sports Wagon. Featuring the luxury and advanced level of performance with standard equipment, almost same as of BMW 328i gasoline models in U.S., the 2014 328d will be available in the U.S. showroom in the fall of 2013 and further full specification and pricing details will be announced at the time closer to its launch.
